What Processing Options Are Available for Steel Pipes?
As diverse as our product range are our processing options for pipes and structural hollow profiles. We deliver ready-to-install seamless and welded round pipes and structural hollow profiles according to technical customer specifications. Quality is our priority, which is why all services performed in our processing centers are subject to quality control according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. We offer sawn pipes with or without miter cuts, blasted, conserved, painted, or powder-coated surfaces. Depending on the desired treatment, cuts can optionally be made using pipe laser. More detailed information about individual possibilities and additional processing we offer can be found in the following sections.
Saw Cuts
Within our cutting options, we offer fixed lengths with tight tolerances for our pipes and structural hollow profiles. The lengths can be cut at right angles or on a miter.
Surface Treatment of Steel Pipes
We also provide pipes and structural hollow profiles with surface treatment. Whether blasted and conserved, powder-coated or painted, you'll find the right surface treatment for your project here.
Processing Using Pipe Laser
For even more specific requirements, you can rely on our pipe laser processing. We produce 2D and 3D laser components specifically for your needs. We offer this for round pipes up to an external diameter of 610 mm and for square structural hollow profiles up to dimensions of 400 x 400 mm or 500 x 300 mm with wall thicknesses up to 25 mm.
Additional Processing Options for Steel Pipes
Our processing possibilities are far from exhausted. Additionally, we can perform point-specific drilling. We also offer you the option to order your chosen dimensions with slots or elongated holes.
Pipes for Fire Protection
For our customers in the fire protection sector, we have developed into a high-performance partner. With the products of our Virotec business unit, we offer you an almost complete range of services.
At our storage locations in Hannover and Mannheim, we maintain well-stocked inventories of grooved, galvanized, and powder-coated steel pipes (RAL 3000 and RAL 9010) in lengths of 6 m.
Pipes for Sprinkler Systems
Through our Virotec business unit, you can additionally obtain pipes for sprinkler systems. We handle the pre-fabrication of sprinkler systems with everything that entails. This includes drilling pipes, mounting sprinkler clamps, welding distribution lines, and sealing fittings with sealant. Competent pre-fabrication also includes sawing, grooving, and threading pipes. They are additionally descaled, conserved, and powder-coated. This way, you receive quickly and competently pre-fabricated sprinkler systems from Salzgitter.
